How do I set-up my ‘Effort Alert’?

Once your device is connected with the Fourth Frontier app, click on the plus sign “Workout” button on the tab at the bottom of your Home screen on the app. This will take you to the “Set Your Alerts” page.

Click on the drop-down menu next to the ‘Effort Alert’, then selecting the Breathing Rate value at which you would like to be alerted during your training, and then click on “Set Alert”. Wait for two seconds for the value to be updated on the device.

How do I set-up my ‘Strain Alert’?

Once your device is connected with the Fourth Frontier app, go to the Home Screen of the app. Select the plus sign “Workout” button on the tab at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the “Set Your Alerts” page.

Click on the drop-down menu next to the ‘Strain Alert’. This will take you to the Strain Alert settings, where you will be able to select the appropriate Strain value for your workout. Once you have chosen an appropriate setting, make sure to select “Set Alert”. Wait for up to two seconds for the value to be updated on the device.

What is the recommended ‘Effort’ level?

We recommend a level of 40+ for a full-marathon, 45+ for a half marathon, 50+ for a 10k or 5k. But each individual should determine their optimal alert settings by training with the device.

What is the recommended ‘Strain’ level?

We recommend a value of 0.175+ (milliVolts) if you have no known cardiac conditions.
